Cooking school in Umbria

Experiences to delight the senses.

All cooking lessons are hands-on, and every night you will prepare

or watch 6-7 different dishes being prepared. The cooking for this course will

focus on all the great produce of fall/winter. You will make various

antipasti, fresh pasta, rice, soups and polenta – and you are also

going to cook a good hearty umbrian stew and off course some

sweets to finish off.

1st day:

You will arrive to the house in Todi during the day. After you

have settled in your room, your host will invite you to go for a walk in the historical

centre of Todi and enjoy a coffee in the piazza.

19.00 an aperitivo will be served and you will be informed of the

different activities for the next days to come. Then a welcome dinner will be served.

2nd day:

After a great breakfast, you will have a few hours to relax or

explore Todi, before your first cooking lesson.

At 11.30 it is time to meet in the kitchen for your first cooking

lesson. Over aperitivo we will explain the different dishes and

then it is time to start cooking.

Around 15.00 we should be ready to sit

down for a late lunch and enjoy the hard work.

The evening is free.

3rd day:

After breakfast there is free program all day– you will have the

chance to further explore Todi or the many surrounding cities like

Perugia, Assisi or Bevagna.

4th day:

After breakfast we will visit a local winery. Go for a walk in the

vine yards, see the cellar, have a talk about wine making and

taste the different wines.

Once back at the house, there is a few hours to relax or grab a

ligth lunch in town.

At 17.00 we will meet in the kitchen again and with a glass of

vino in the hand – it’s time to prepare tonight’s dinner.

5th day:

After breakfast it is time to say goodbye.

Practical info:

The price for the course is € 520 per person. This includes stay

in double room with en-suite bath room. All meals, which are

mentioned in the program, visit to wine producer and 2 cooking

lessons.

All excursions are by own car, we strongly encourage car sharing.

If you are not in possession of a car, we will work it out.

We recommend that you take an apropriate travel insurance.
